The Makers Marketplace will return for 2026 with a range of thoughtfully curated craft kits and handmade gifts for those looking for something unique. We are passionate about supporting independent businesses and the market will showcase a small selection of the brilliant makers in the North East.

Butterflies and Beetles is a handmade clothing business making bright and beautiful clothes for kids aged 0 - 9 years old.
They use fun and quirky fabrics, with some of their exclusive fabric designs featuring North East landmarks. Each and every item of clothes at Butterflies and Beetles is hand cut and sewn from soft and stretchy cotton jersey to ensure they are breathable and comfortable to wear.
The Jamporium
The Jamporium sells home-made, small-batch fruit preserves, marmalades, jellies, cordials and chutneys. The fruit and veg are home-grown, foraged, donated or sourced from local farms, markets or pick your owns.
The Jamporium's products are all suitable for vegetarians and are gluten free. Their profits go to a charity to support the education of children in Meserani, Tanzania.
William & Tilda
Becky runs William & Tilda from her home studio overlooking Ilkley Moor in West Yorkshire. She creates authentic reproduction accessories from by 1940s wartime Britain, blending timeless sewing techniques with a "make do and mend" ethos.
Her designs honour the era's resourcefulness, ensuring even the smallest fabric scraps find purpose while retelling the stories of wartime ingenuity.
Whole Lot of Rosie
Whole Lot of Rosie combines luxury tea and the creative makings of Miki Rogers.
You’ll find Luxury long length teas, tisanes and infusions from across the world, including unique blends alongside Tea infusers, Teapots and other Tea ephemera, but it’s not just tea!
There are also unique cards and stickers designed and printed in Miki’s studio in Guisborough. The products are all eco conscious, with the loose leaf bag free teas presented in biodegradable bags, and all cards printed in-house on recycled paper through an Eco-Printing process.
Whole Lot of Rosie is part of the Ethical Tea Partnership, meaning everyone in the tea chain benefits from positive working conditions and pay.
Jessica Jayne Design
Inspired by the natural world and working with as many sustainable materials as possible. Jessica Jayne Design offers a wide range of handmade products. Jessica handprints her own designs as well as other products which are produced with UK based manufacturers. She cares for our planet so combining sustainability with her love of wildlife works beautifully.
Jessica also teaches lino printing workshops and makes her own printing kits, these have been hugely popular over on the creative craft channel, Hobby Maker TV.
Maggie Moo Designs
Carole’s work is colourful and decorative, with lots of pattern. Inspired by nature, folk art and everything vintage, Carole’s love of plants, flowers and insects can be found throughout her designs. Carole’s range includes notebooks, badges, greetings cards, homewares and beautiful textiles.
Inky Print Designs
Inky Print Designs is a home and gift brand based in the North East of England. Discover bright and colourful art prints and greetings cards, gifts and home accessories such as tea towels, tote bags and memo pads crafted from original watercolour paintings, with many fruit, vegetable and plant designs.
Jen Lithgo
Handmade in her home studio Jen uses recycled precious metals, including gold and sterling silver, to hand form leaves & flowers to create wearable reminders to head out into the great outdoors for a breather while going about your everyday busy lives! Jen’s collections are simple yet elegant, inspired by nature and scattered leaves.
Michelle Corbin Design
Michelle is an Embroidery and Mixed Media Artist from the North East of England. Most of her work is created from Free Hand Machine Embroidery where she creates beautifully detailed work by drawing with thread, which is usually enhanced by Fabric Paint and scraps or vintage fabrics and sometimes paper. Inspired by nature and fairies a lot of her work features whimsical characters which appear on various collections of Home Decor, Gifts and Accessories. Michelle also creates Patterns and Kits for you to stitch at home, and has recently created an Online Course sharing her knowledge into how to create the perfect Keepsake from pre-loved clothing.
Amy Panda
Amy Panda is a contemporary embroidery artist from Otley, West Yorkshire. Amy is the designer and maker of hand embroidered badges, mirrors, buttons and brooches. She creates badges decorated with the things she loves - flowers, plants, bicycles, birds and bright block colours. Amy cares deeply about sustainability and handmade ethical consumption, so uses eco-fi felt, made from recycled plastic bottles in her work.
Iszi Designs
Iszi’s love of minimalist decor, colour and abstraction is evident in the beautiful handcrafted laser cut acrylic and wood products she creates. All of Iszi’s products are designed, cut and assembled by Iszi herself, using materials sourced from the UK. Iszi Designs range boasts colourful creations from wall art to earrings, and everything in between.
Mooi Jewellery
Mooi Jewellery is designed and crafted by Charlene Wheat in her studio here in the North East, using both modern and traditional smithing techniques. Charlene takes her inspiration from the textures in nature and the local coastline. Her designs are minimal with an infusion of organic formation. Each piece is completely handmade by Charlene in sterling silver, with some pieces incorporating sea glass collected from the local beach. Sustainability is central to her business ethos. From the use of recycled precious metals to using eco-friendly packaging, all designs and processes are considered with the environment in mind.
Northstar Needlework
Northstar Needlework is based on the idea that we should all be able to have luxury textiles in our everyday lives.
Creator Hayley uses iconic William Morris and Liberty prints using her background in patchwork to create beautiful and functional products.
Over time, the Northstar Needlework range has grown from a base of cosmetics and wash bags, to include glasses cases, hair accessories and many other items. But they’re still all made in her home in Newcastle.
Fauna Art Studio is a small business based in Newcastle upon Tyne that offers handmade pottery and thoughtfully designed stationery. Each piece is made with care, focusing on simple forms and vibrant colours. The studio aims to create useful, well-crafted contemporary items.
Little Cherub Designs
Little Cherub Design is excited to be part of the Maker Market and will be bringing our bright & colourful embroidery kits. Our kits are suitable for beginners or anyone who loves to sew, designs are pre printed onto the fabric so there’s no tricky tracing or transferring required. We design our kits to be completed in a weekend (some even quicker than that)
Natalie Gaynor Designs
Natalie Gaynor Designs is a Manchester based hand embroidery artist who is known for intricate and contemporary embroidery patterns, custom embroidery art and teaching others the art of embroidery in workshops.
With a BA Hons in Textiles in 2007,her signature style that blends modern aesthetics with traditional techniques, Natalie’s designs inspire both beginners and seasoned crafters alike.
Mim Robson
Iszi’s love of minimalist decor, colour and abstraction is evident in the beautiful handcrafted laser cut acrylic and wood products she creates. All of Mim Robson is a multi-disciplinary artist and creative. As well joining us to deliver a drop-in mini zine workshop at this year's festival, Mim is bringing some of her wonderful creations to our marketplace for you. Mim currently works in illustration, ceramics, printmaking and textiles, with an overarching interest in storytelling. Her products include cards, prints, zines, notebooks and much more.
