We are Rachel & Lyndsey, creators of the Make & Mend Company, a place where we hope to spread our passion for making and its ability to repair, restore and rejuvenate. Make & Mend was born from our mutual desire to share mindful mending and handcrafted happiness with the world!  

 

The Make & Mend Festival started in 2018 with a desire to create an event that would inspire, teach and nourish – impacting on the life of those who attend in a positive way. Our aim is to encourage you to unleash your creative spirit and let your true colours shine through. 

 

We are a tiny team with big ambitions to create an amazing event that you will want to come back to every year.  After missing a year due to Covid, we are so excited to be able to bring the event back this year and reconnect with our lovely visitors. We are lucky enough to be able to bring you the very best creatives from across the North East and beyond. Our aim is spread the joy and therapeutic benefits of creating something by hand and to encourage you to live a bit more colourfully!
